I also would be interested in a small stream / trout net. It would be nice to have a collapsable net with out the net hanging from ones neck during transport. Fly fisherman out there, you know what I am talking about..

searching for a retractable fishing net that my husband showed me at bass pro but came across yours while surfing which is much cheaper than the $80 item at the Bass Pro. I am always looking for something that is "less money" but want it to hold up. It will be used for bass fishing. I couldn't find any reviews on it yet.

Rod,
Am a very discriminating designer in process of outfitting myself for backpack fly fishing. Have found the type of compact rod I want in the Tenkara telescoping fly rods. But until googling upon your's I couldn't find a collapsing net that matched that rod for backpacking compactness. Your's is terriffic concept, but way too big for what I have in mind. Inasmuch as I have chosen the Hane Tenkara rod model...only available from Backpackinglight.com ....at an overall length of 16" for the telescoped collapsed rod length...the shortest of all Tenkara telescoped rods....I think that you should make a collapsing net at that same overall length also. You'd have a huge market. But you should also make it extremely light weight...probably also in carbon fiber. Also, let me know what the smallest lightest
net you've got right now is.

Your net is awesome. It was given to me by my brother in law who saw it in Ft. Myers. I am the founder of the NCKFA (North Carolina Kayak Fishing Association) and would be honored to have you as a sponsor in our upcoming Fall Classic. Please visit our website and go to the tourney page. Read our open letter to sponsors and let me know what you think. I would love to have 4 which would go with the kayak for First place in each division. I believe that once the kayak community saw your wonderful product up close they would love it as much as I do due to the fact it closes up and does not get tangled in the kayak which has very limited space. Please consider this and let me know what you think.

Saw the video today while searching for a simular net. I’m here in Tallahassee but I fish most often in North Carolina. I’ve got into trout fishing which is done primarly on foot, in the water or on the bank. The traditional trout net is somewhat bulky and cumberson to carry along with your other gear; that’s why I have been searching for something more storage friendly. The basslasso looks to fill the bill however It’s too big. Is there a possibility it could be made smaller to take advantage of the lucrative “trout” market? Also, a couple of my fishing friends and I had discussed this portability issue and concluded that there is also a need for a “trout” size net with some type of extension handle(possibly teloscoping). Many times the bank you fish from is blocked by bushes or boulders, or sometimes you are standing on a ledge a few feet above the water level. I have some ideas on the demensions if you would like to give me a call. My cell is (850)508-9544

Very nice net. I had the pleasure of seeing one that was recently delivered to my nephew in Tallahassee. You are definately building a better (and long awaited) mousetrap.
